A New Way of Living: The Live Life Better Journey

As a busy working mother in New York City, I found myself caught up in the fast-paced corporate world and struggling to keep up with my health and wellness. Despite my interest in health and nutrition, I was suffering from a variety of health issues including lack of sleep, digestive problems, eczema, food sensitivities, and chronic exhaustion. I knew something had to change.

It wasn't until my family and I moved to Tennessee and I returned to school to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner that I discovered the concept of Circadian Rhythm. This was a turning point for me as I began to understand how the human body operates on a 24-hour clock that is often at odds with nature. This knowledge led me to make significant changes in my life and start my journey to "Live Life Better".

In 2021, my husband Glenn and I founded Live Life Better, a non-profit organization that aims to use nature's tools to improve people's lives and vitality. Through this journey, I have gone from feeling overwhelmed and stressed in the corporate world to finding peace and balance in my life. I am excited to share my story and help others do the same through Live Life Better.

My Personal Story

As I went more into the topic of circadian biology, I came to realize that the popular health routines and methodologies I had been following were missing a crucial piece of the puzzle: the connection to nature and the natural rhythms of my body. To truly heal, I realized that I needed to align my lifestyle with nature's cycles.

I made a commitment to myself to wake up with the sunrise, reduce my exposure to artificial light, spend more time outside, and eat and nourish myself based on the seasons. Gradually, my body began to sync with the daily light/sun patterns, and I could feel my energy levels increasing.

As a result, I noticed a significant change in my health. My afternoon crashes, food sensitivities, and sleep issues began to fade away. I felt more awake, alert, and alive than I had in years. This newfound health and vitality prompted my husband Glenn and me to buy a farm, where we immersed ourselves in nature and learned more about how to live in harmony with the natural rhythms of the earth.

In addition to being an NTP, I received a certification in Circadian Biology and Quantum Health Coaching and began studying Classical Homeopathy. This led to the creation of Live Life Better, a non-profit organization that educates about lifestyle and diet choices using 5 nature-based pillars. My goal is to help others experience the same level of health and vitality that I had found through connecting with nature. Now, as I sit on my porch, watching the sun rise over the farm, I couldn't be happier with the path my life has taken.

The Creation of Live Life Better

With a clear vision in mind, Glenn and I set out to create a platform that would allow us to share our newfound understanding of the connection between nature and health with others. Our goal was to help people understand that embracing a lifestyle that is in tune with nature can be incredibly liberating and easy to implement. It's not about restrictive diets or adhering to strict nutrition dogmas, but about finding a way to live in harmony with the world around us, which is virtually free. This is at the core of the Live Life Better mission.

As my studies of classical homeopathy and circadian biology progressed, I realized that there was so much more to health than just food. It's a much smaller part of the equation than I ever gave it credit for. That's why we developed the 5 nature-based pillars that Live Life Better is built on:

Eat a primal diet with the seasons

See the sunrise and get smart sunlight exposure

Minimize exposure to artificial light and non-native EMFs

Prioritize sleep and rest

Incorporate regular physical activity

We wanted to educate people about the importance of all these elements in creating a healthy and balanced lifestyle. From eating a seasonal diet to getting enough sleep and moving your body, we believe that these pillars are essential for optimal health. And how easy it can be!

As an ancient grain sourdough baker and an amateur artisan cheesemaker, I'm happy to say I'm healthier than ever. Live Life Better is more than a non-profit for us, it's a way of life. We hope that through our story, you'll be inspired to make some changes in your life and start your own journey to Live Life Better.

As we continue to grow Live Life Better, we also continue to make plans to expand into a retreat center on the farm, where people can come and immerse themselves in nature and learn more about how to live in harmony with the natural rhythms of the earth. This is our way to help more people to discover the benefits of living in sync with nature.

Creating a Sustainable and Regenerative Agriculture

As Glenn and I delved deeper into the connection between nature and health, we knew that we wanted to not only improve our own well-being but also contribute to the health and sustainability of the earth. This led us to the decision of building a sustainable farm on our property.

Our farm plans include raising goats and cows for dairy, running cattle, raising chickens, growing crops for produce to donate through our organization, Live Life Better. Our goal is to provide healthy, nutrient-dense food to those in need and educate people about the importance of eating a primal diet in harmony with the seasons.

We also aim to implement sustainable and eco-friendly practices such as building our own solar panels, collecting rainwater, and composting our waste. As we look ahead, we were excited to envision the growth and evolution of our farm. Not only will it produce delicious and nutritious food for our community, but it will also be an ecosystem that supports the well-being of all living things. We firmly believe that sustainable agriculture is not only beneficial for the earth but also for our health.

Through our personal experience, we have seen the positive impact of eating food grown in harmony with nature on our well-being and are eager to share this knowledge with others. As we continue to develop and expand Live Life Better, we look forward to the impact our farm and efforts will have on both our community and the earth.

To Wrap it Up

As I sit on my porch and watch the sun set over the farm, I can't help but reflect on the journey that brought me here. From the fast-paced and stressful corporate life to the peaceful and serene lifestyle of living in harmony with nature, I've come a long way.

Starting Live Life Better has been a dream come true for my husband and me. It gave us a platform to share our knowledge and passion for health and wellness with others. We have personally experienced the positive impact of connecting with nature and living in harmony with the natural rhythms of the earth on our health and well-being.

Our ultimate goal is to inspire others to make changes in their lives and start their own journey to Live Life Better. Whether you're stuck in a cycle of chasing diet and nutrition trends, facing health challenges, or simply curious about ways to improve your daily health, we believe that our resources have something for everyone. Best of all, these resources are virtually free and readily available in your own backyard!

As we bring our plans for regenerative farming to fruition, we are excited for the progress we will make. We have seen how regenerative farming practices not only improve the health of our soil but also increase biodiversity and reduce our carbon footprint. We are passionate about sharing our knowledge and experience with others, and believe that regenerative farming is not only good for the earth, but it also benefits our health.

We have gone from corporate chaos to circadian calm(er) and have learned to live life better by connecting with nature and embracing the natural rhythms of the earth. Our farm is our way of giving back to the earth and community, and as we continue to grow, we hope to inspire others to do the same. Remember, it's never too late to start living a life full of energy and health. It's all in your backyard!
